Media and Software Licenses
Version: 12 October 2026 · centerbit UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Rights belong to the relevant creators
A JsonCut subscription provides editing and processing services. Each external asset retains its own license. A search result, a royalty-free label or an AI output is not a guarantee that all rights for your intended use have been cleared. Check the original asset page and the version of its license, especially for identifiable people, brands, artwork, buildings, voices and music. Obtain any additional permissions your use requires.
Photos and video from Pexels
JsonCut uses the Pexels API for stock search and identifies creators and source pages. The Pexels License and Pexels terms apply. Use these assets within a new creative work. Do not distribute substantially unchanged source files as a separate stock collection, imply endorsement, misrepresent authorship or use content as a trademark. Merely resizing or applying a filter does not necessarily create a new work.
Credits for locally supplied starter assets are included in the starter-media source list and media source register. A template's editable source files retain their asset restrictions. An example showing a person or brand does not imply their endorsement of JsonCut or your product.
Openverse and Wikimedia Commons
Openverse indexes material from external hosts. Wikimedia Commons uses asset-specific licenses. Our stock workflow includes recognizable CC0, Public Domain Mark, CC BY and CC BY-SA image/video licenses and excludes noncommercial, no-derivatives and unrecognized licenses. Availability is based on provider metadata; it does not certify the uploader's ownership.
- CC0: a copyright dedication with fallback permissions. Other rights, including privacy and trademarks, can remain.
- Public Domain Mark: a description of public-domain status, not a new license; status can differ across countries.
- CC BY: preserve the attribution required by the actual license version, including creator, supplied title/notices, source and license link, and indicate changes.
- CC BY-SA: attribution plus ShareAlike requirements for adaptations. Do not apply incompatible restrictions or protection measures to the licensed material.
The item's license link controls which version and any jurisdiction-specific terms apply. A practical credit is: “Title — Creator, source URL, license name and URL; changes: cropped, recolored and animated.” Put credits where viewers can reasonably access them, such as end credits, an accompanying description or an attribution file, as the license requires. Keeping metadata privately inside a project is not sufficient attribution to the audience of a published work.
Music, sound and synthetic voices
Openverse stock audio is limited to CC0 and Public Domain Mark results. Verify rights in both the composition and recording, including performances and samples. A public-domain composition does not make a recent recording public domain. Platforms or collecting societies may require additional permissions for particular uses.
Generated music, sound and speech are separate from stock audio. Their provider and model are recorded with the generated asset where available. Provider/model conditions and any rights in your inputs remain applicable. Do not clone or imitate a person's voice unlawfully. JsonCut does not guarantee exclusive rights, absence of matching content or immunity from content-identification claims.
Fonts, icons and visual effects
The font catalog pins Fontsource package versions. Most families use SIL Open Font License 1.1; Roboto Slab and Permanent Marker use Apache 2.0 in the selected versions. Font rights differ from the rights in the resulting image or video. Redistribution of font files must preserve the corresponding notices and comply with any reserved font names.
Lucide icons carry their ISC notices and the included Feather notices. Adapted effect sources include Paper Shaders, PixiJS Filters, curtains.js, regl and WebGL Fluid Simulation. JsonCut adaptations include changes for deterministic project-time rendering. Preserve applicable notices when redistributing editable source code or substantial portions. The third-party notices provide source links and license texts.
Your uploads and reports
You are responsible for the rights required for your uploads and intended publication. If a source license is missing or contradictory, obtain permission before use. Report incorrect credits or rights concerns to support@jsoncut.com with the exact asset/source link and supporting information. We can investigate, correct metadata or restrict affected material.
