JsonCut for Claude

Connect Claude to editable JsonCut graphics, motion compositions, templates and exports with OAuth.

JsonCut for Claude is a remote MCP connector for creating and editing native design projects in your JsonCut account. It renders HTML, SVG, text, shapes and existing media to image or video outputs. It does not call standalone AI image, video or audio generation models.

Connect

You need an adult JsonCut account and the permissions and rendering allowance for your requested operations. Claude connector availability depends on your Claude account and workspace settings.

  1. Open Claude's connector settings and add a custom remote connector named JsonCut.
  2. Enter https://claude-mcp.jsoncut.com/mcp as the server URL.
  3. Connect using OAuth. Sign in on the normal JsonCut Studio login page and review the requested permissions.
  4. Approve access and return to Claude. OAuth client registration is automatic; a JsonCut API key is not an OAuth client secret.

The dedicated Claude endpoint uses OAuth only. Existing integrations using https://mcp.jsoncut.com/mcp continue to use that endpoint; the general MCP guide covers those connections and API-key clients.

Try it

  • “Create a square 1080 × 1080 announcement for Autumn Sessions on October 9. Keep the title and date separately editable.”
  • “In that JsonCut project, change Autumn Sessions to Autumn Nights, keeping the date and layout unchanged. Export the updated image.”
  • “Create a three-second title card saying Hello Autumn with native text, shapes and a gentle entrance animation. Export an MP4.”

Changes are saved in your connected account. Rendering uses your existing allowance. State-changing tools request confirmation according to Claude's permissions controls. The connector cannot purchase credits, change subscriptions, retrieve passwords or publish to social networks.

Preview, download and edit

Image previews can appear as normal MCP image content in Claude. Video review can return sampled frames; these do not establish complete playback or audible quality.

A requested download creates an expiring, revocable link for one export. Anyone holding the link can access that export until expiry or revocation. The default lifetime is one hour and cannot exceed the export's retention deadline. Reading render status or inspecting a private image does not create a public link. jsoncut_revoke_download_link revokes an individual link without deleting its project or export.

There is no embedded editor in this connector. Open JsonCut Studio separately and sign in normally to edit the same projects visually. Connecting Claude does not automatically sign your browser into Studio.

Media and data

The connector can use existing JsonCut media, import an authorized public media URL, search supported stock sources, or return a normal Studio upload link. Stock source and license obligations remain applicable; see Media licenses. A Claude attachment or local filesystem path is not automatically accessible to JsonCut. Upload tickets require a client capable of sending the actual file bytes separately.

JsonCut receives the tool arguments sent by Claude and returns the requested account data, project content, media metadata or export results. It does not query unrelated chat history or memory. Claude processes the data it receives under your applicable Anthropic arrangement. See JsonCut privacy, Anthropic privacy, and JsonCut terms.

Disconnect and troubleshoot

Each connection appears as OAuth · [app name] in Studio's Developer settings. Revoke the corresponding entry and disconnect it in Claude. This does not delete projects or cancel subscriptions, and cannot erase files already downloaded or received by Claude.

Access tokens expire after one hour and compatible clients refresh them automatically. Reconnect when the underlying 30-day connection expires or is revoked. A version conflict means the project changed since it was read; obtain the current version before applying a new edit. An allowance error means the operation is unavailable with the account's current entitlement; no billing change is made by the connector.

For connection problems, contact JsonCut support with the tool name and error message. Do not send passwords, access tokens or confidential project data.
