Templates and variables in Studio
Turn a reviewed project into a controlled reusable design without exposing every layer.
Variables define the small set of values another person, workflow or Agent may replace. The rest of the project remains part of the approved visual source.
Recommended workflow
- Finish and review the ordinary image or video project.
- Add variables for copy, numbers, colors, visibility or media.
- Bind each variable to a layer or supported property.
- Test alternative preview values, including long copy and different crops.
- Publish a pinned template version.
Template inputs remain flat and typed. This makes a form, CSV column, JSON value and MCP argument refer to the same predictable field.
Before publishing
- Give every input a human-readable label and useful default.
- Add numeric minimum, maximum and step only to number variables.
- Keep repeat lists bounded and text-only.
- Test missing optional media and both states of every visibility variable.
- Re-publish after structural changes; do not silently assume an old template follows the latest project.
