What exactly is a token?
Tokens are the universal unit for all JsonCut operations. Uploading a file costs 1 token, generating an image costs 2 tokens plus 1 per layer, and video processing starts at 10 tokens plus a variable amount based on output size.
What does the watermark look like?
Free plan outputs include a small "Made with JsonCut" text in the lower-right corner. It's unobtrusive but visible. Upgrade to Hobby or Pro to remove all watermarks.
Why is there a watermark on the Free plan?
Media generation is resource-intensive — every image and video costs real compute time. The watermark helps us keep the Free plan available to everyone while ensuring fair use. Without it, the free tier would not be sustainable.
Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, you get immediate access to the new plan's features. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
What happens if I run out of tokens?
Your API calls will return an error when tokens are exhausted. Tokens reset monthly. You can upgrade your plan at any time to get more tokens immediately.
Do unused tokens roll over?
No, tokens reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. We recommend choosing a plan that matches your regular usage.
